Evolution of Web Graphics

For this assignment, I chose one of my very favorite websites, which is “The Deep Sea” by Neal Agarwal. It’s a simple scroll-through website with easy-to-understand graphics and nicely spread out ones, too. As to the guidelines looked at yesterday, they meet the standards very well. They’re easy to look at, give information, and upon being saved to the device from the website, do not have a large file size (only ~15 KB!). Using inspect element, you can also see that each image has alt text for those using screen readers. They are also easy to look at, including the creatures with brighter colors. The sea in the background also gets darker as you scroll down, which helps show the depth we’re at in our little journey. Graphics are not used to provide information, just visuals. Text below the graphics also has good contrast against the background. Overall, I’m fairly certain Neal’s website meets all the guidelines, which doesn't surprise me. I can’t see anything wrong with it.
